Gobi is quarried from a bedrock quarry. It is dense, which makes it suitable for Interior and Exterior applications. This is a sedimentary stone that is formed in shallow seas and is composed mainly of calcite calcium carbonate. This cream/beige limestone can have small black or gold spots randomly scattered throughout the slab. Arizona Tile also offers Gobi in 12”x24” tile. Gobi is great for large projects as the color tone and overall look remain consistent from shipment to shipment. However, when using Gobi tile and slab on the same project, it is best to view them before installation.
Piece to piece variation in shade or color are inherent in all-natural stone products; therefore, when installing natural stone tile, it is recommended to mix tiles from several boxes at a time during installation to achieve the best range of color. As natural stone products, it is recommended that these be sealed to extend their longevity.
